Merchandiser

Job Description

1. In-Store Execution

  • Ensure proper product display according to company standards (planogram compliance)
  • Maintain attractive and organized shelf presentation
  • Implement merchandising materials such as POSM, banners, and displays

2. Stock & Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability on shelves
  • Coordinate with store staff and sales team to replenish stock
  • Track near-expiry products
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is properly followed

3. Outlet Coverage

  • Visit assigned outlets (General Trade, Modern Trade, pharmacies) based on daily route plan
  • Build good relationships with store staff and outlet managers
  • Ensure all assigned outlets are covered efficiently and consistently

4. Promotion & Campaign Execution

  • Support in-store promotions and product launches
  • Ensure correct placement of promotional materials
  • Monitor competitor activities and report market insights

5. Reporting

  • Submit daily/weekly reports on:
    • Store visits
    • Stock levels
    • Display compliance
    • Competitor activities
  • Provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising or FMCG sales (preferred)
  • Experience in handling supermarket or pharmacy channels is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and willing to travel frequently
  • Basic knowledge of merchandising principles
