Finance and Accounting Manager – FMCG Company

We are looking for an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to join our dynamic FMCG business. This senior leadership role requires a holistic and strategic thinker and reports to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will drive profitability and growth, integrating financial leadership with business planning and operational excellence. This position manages all functions assigned to the Finance and Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership
    • Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, including monthly and year-end processes; assist in developing business plans and marketing & sales plans, in some cases, this may involve leading parts of the process.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, including cash flow management, capital allocation, and risk mitigation.  
    • Provide actionable insights, recommendations and planning to support profitability and business growth.
  • Integrated Business Planning (IBP/SOFI)
    • Lead the IBP/SOFI process by aligning financial forecasts with business goals across functions; lead Integrated Reconciliation Process; support and facilitate Portfolio Review, Demand Review, Supply Review and Management Review as needed.
    • Ensure data-driven decision-making through robust financial analysis and scenario planning.
  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting
    • Analyze manufacturing costs to identify areas for efficiency and margin improvement, making recommendations and leading improvement projects, as necessary.
    • Support product and category-level profitability analysis to inform pricing and portfolio management decisions.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Demand Generation and Finished Goods Departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.  
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, providing financial leadership and guidance in decision-making.  
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Enhance financial controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, including all taxation-related issues and transfer pricing.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to supply chain, pricing, and investments; oversee and manage company insurance policies and ensure they are appropriate for the business.

    • This position performs additional related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related business field; Master’s degree or related certifications desirable. Comparable experience will be considered (relevant experience is worth a lot).
  • 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting. 5+ years in a leadership roles preferred.
  • Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, ideally within the FMCG sector.  
  • Knowledge of IBP processes; familiarity with ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and fostering professional growth.
